I love my life too and I'm in the process of making changes to be happier and they certainly will look a lot more like your life and a lot less like the 'keeping up with the Joneses' life :)Leannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05623420015695351280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4722898771124083282.post-1678386873125250082015-05-01T18:01:41.365+08:002015-05-01T18:01:41.365+08:00Thanks for the opportunity to share - I loved doin...Thanks for the opportunity to share - I loved doing this and look forward to reading all the posts and having another shot at it next Wednesday!Leannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05623420015695351280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4722898771124083282.post-37313907247326135062015-05-01T07:48:13.700+08:002015-05-01T07:48:13.700+08:00Lovely, thought provoking post. I pride myself on ...Lovely, thought provoking post. I pride myself on not portraying a "glossy" side on my blog. But in reality, my life is perfect. Please don't jump down my throat, I'm not being precocious. My house is a mess, we've been doing the bathroom for so long I've got used to it having no tiles on the walls. It smells of dog and there is no "good wall" to take photos next to. It's untidy and so are we. And yet, I have everything I ever wanted in my life, and I am happy. To other people, it's chaotic, messy, dirty, uncomfortable and probably shameful. But to me, my life and my family are perfect, and I wouldn't have them any other way.xPlutonium Soxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02061413795610750961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4722898771124083282.post-64271165579877443742015-04-30T19:49:07.511+08:002015-04-30T19:49:07.511+08:00Hi! I think a lot of it has to do with all the media we are bombarded with everyday. We have to remember that was we see on TV/Movies/etc. is n't always totally real. Movie stars are made up and have plastic surgery. News stations rarely tell the whole story of anything. We definitely have to be more aware of the reality of what's inside the wrappers! When we are with people that we know and trust we are more open and honest. For example, I may tell my friend Lana that I am at my wits end about a certain problem, but I certainly wouldn't put that on Facebook for the whole world to see. There has to be a level of trust before people are willing to share their darkest secrets. We all have problems but sharing them with the world is not something I think anyone wants to do.Renahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12296781992150172086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4722898771124083282.post-35639924441983720362015-04-29T22:10:06.335+08:002015-04-29T22:10:06.335+08:00I'm so happy you've joined #1Word, Leanne ...I'm so happy you've joined #1Word, Leanne and I love your post! Pretty wrappers are definitely not the reality of what's inside, and I couldn't agree with you more. I'm more interested in what's on the inside than I am on what's on the outside. This is especially true if you're a friend or loved one. I want to be able to share realities and it can't be done when wrappers are left on. It can be very powerful to transcend limitations or it can be a crutch for self-deception. And it can be hard to know which one I'm engaged in doing! Thanks for writing up your thoughts on reality.
