What is wrong with just doing nothing and enjoying it? I love Sundays because they are they days I have as my 'inspirational flow day' I just relax, try not to make plans and just enjoy time out. #zttSue from Sizzling Towards 60 & Beyondhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15418770845484399102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4722898771124083282.post-87884821595928462412019-04-02T17:50:14.674+08:002019-04-02T17:50:14.674+08:00I love that quote about everything will work again...I love that quote about everything will work again if we unplug!! I suffer from this myself. I keep myself too busy. I feel guilty if I relax and do nothing. I feel like I need to be productive and achieve! I spend far too much switched on and of course social media and my phone don't help. I can't even stop and read a book unless I'm away on a beach holiday for goodness sake. In saying all that though ... at least I'm aware of this and I do know some ways to try and bring myself back into the present and to relax. It was lovely to see that snippet from Eat, Pray, Love. I'd forgotten that part! I loved that book and movie. This problem society has these days with being busy, always connected and unable to switch off is responsible for so much stress, anxiety and depression and is a reason why I decided to do my Zen Tip Tuesday series ... to uncover ways and things that people from all walks of life do to help rebalance and calm themselves etc in the hope that there is something there for everyone that might be of help or spark an idea or inspire. I could type an essay on my thoughts on this topic but I'd better stop here! LOL Thanks so much for linking up with #ZTT Have a great week! xoMin - Write of the Middlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11880899126465316282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4722898771124083282.post-34127813732882097072017-08-19T11:39:07.012+08:002017-08-19T11:39:07.012+08:00I hadn't thought about that aspect Jowill - bu...I hadn't thought about that aspect Jowill - but you're right, shops closed and we fitted things in around normal shopping hours and spent the rest of the time with our family and friends - now there's always something to keep us busy and pulling us to keep going - we need to actively stop ourselves and take time to breathe.Leannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05623420015695351280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4722898771124083282.post-13915480279325688882017-08-16T11:21:53.334+08:002017-08-16T11:21:53.334+08:00Terrific post Leanne. Everything that you needed to get done by way of grocery shopping and errands had to be completed by this time. The rest of the weekend was devoted to rest, replenishment, family time, or engaging in sports and hobbies. I think that despite today's distractions we can choose how we live, and in particular choose not to be addicted to 'busyness'. jowillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06617697215827345690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4722898771124083282.post-7508042847002858172017-08-15T11:27:57.052+08:002017-08-15T11:27:57.052+08:00Thanks Sue - and yes, we need to be proactive in a...Thanks Sue - and yes, we need to be proactive in a lot of areas of our lives and I think giving ourselves permission to relax is one of them :)Leannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05623420015695351280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4722898771124083282.post-29490637458642110202017-08-15T11:27:24.189+08:002017-08-15T11:27:24.189+08:00I think in this day and age we have to work at eve...I think in this day and age we have to work at everything or the busyness distracts us and we don't stop to take a breath.
