The A-Z of Positive Personality Traits

the A-Z of positive personality types

THE A TO Z OF POSITIVITY

This is my first attempt at the April A-Z blogging challenge. The idea is that you post each day of the month of April (minus Sundays - because we all know they are a day of rest) using a different letter of the alphabet. To make it a little trickier you can choose a theme and focus your A-Z posts on your topic. I thought I might as well go the whole hog and pick a theme - so I've opted for Positive Personality Traits - something we can all work on in our lives.

the A-Z of positive personality types

WHY IS POSITIVITY IMPORTANT?

If you're anything like me, you find yourself attracted to people who are likable and upbeat and enthusiastic. People who shed a little sunshine wherever they go, rather than those who come in and suck the light right out of the room. Nobody wants to be a light-sucker, so developing some personality traits that attract others would probably be a great place to start.

Midlife has taught me that life throws up good and bad experiences and they are what ultimately build our character. It's not necessarily the experience itself, but rather it is how we react to the experience and what we take away from it. If we can use the good and the bad and the ugly that come our way to develop positive personality traits, then we are on the road to a wonderful life - and the bonus is that we will be the type of person other people enjoy being around.

THE CHALLENGE BEGINS

So off we go, starting on April 1st with the letter A and my favourite all-encompassing personality trait that I talk a lot about in my blog........ AUTHENTICITY. I hope to see you throughout April (and into the future!)  and please join in the conversation in the comments - I love meeting new people and hearing what you have to say.

  31. LeeAnn, that sounds like a really fun project for the month. I'm interested to see how it goes for you, writing every day. And I'm really interested to see what other words you choose from A to Z.

I also love the first word, authenticity, as my word of the year was based off of that. Transparency. I'm having a bit of a harder time with it then I thought, as the things that are happening to us are taboo in society. I talk about it as much as I can, but I don't want the blog to be a complete Downer either. This is turning into a bigger challenge than what I would have thought.

    1. I know what you mean about knowing how much to share or not share, and how our plans don't always go according to schedule. You are being honest and transparent wherever you can Nikki and that helps a lot of people walking the same hard path. Much love to you and the family xx
