IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE

It's time to have a coffee and a chat - I'll tell you all about what's been happening in my world this month

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE

It's time to celebrate the end of January, Christmas is over for another year and life is getting back to normal after the holidays - so, why not share a lovely Summery virtual cup of coffee with me while I update you on what's been going on in my life lately. I love a good 'Taking Stock' blog post, so I hope you'll humour me and sit a while as I share my news.

TIME TO BREATHE MORE AND RELAX

The second letter in my A to Z of how I'm going to achieve "More" in my life this year.

WE NEED TO RELAX AND TAKE A BREATH

We're onto "B" for the second letter in the "List of More" and it's time to figure out ways to de-stress and exhale. Releasing your tight fist grip on life and the need to be in control of everything is the beginning of learning to breathe more and relax.

4 THINGS YOU DESERVE IN LIFE

There are four things in life that we all deserve - and none of them are selfish to ask for

KNOW WHAT YOU DESERVE AND DON'T SETTLE FOR LESS

I read a quote by Tony Gaskins the other day that said:

Know who you are.
Know what you want.
Know what you deserve.
Don't settle for less.

SATURDAY SNIPPETS #5

Saturday Snippets - where the best things I've seen this week come together in one place

INTRO

I love sharing little snippets, so I thought I'd do a weekly round up of the interesting little quotes and pictures and memes that have caught my eye lately. I hope you enjoy them too - feel free to pin them or share them with other people if they resonate with you. I've turned off the comments on these posts because they're just a fun Saturday post to look at, enjoy and move on - hopefully with a smile on your face or with something to think about.

5 WAYS TO HANDLE A DIFFICULT PERSON

Some helpful advice on how to handle living or working with a difficult person, and how to survive the stress.

MY EXPERIENCE

I’ve mentioned several times over the last couple of years that I struggle sometimes with work drama and coping with a co-worker whose personal life overflows into our work environment. What I came to see over time was the detrimental impact it had on my own mental health and it’s taken a long time to find a workable solution to the situation.

LET'S HAVE MORE APPRECIATION AND ACCEPTANCE

The first letter in my A to Z of how I'm going to achieve "More" in my life this year.

IT'S TIME FOR MORE APPRECIATION AND ACCEPTANCE

In choosing my Word of the Year MORE, I mentioned a list of the A to Z of things I'd like to develop more of in my life throughout the year. I'm not planning on participating in the AtoZ Challenge this year, so instead I thought I'd work my way through my "List of More" by choosing a letter every second Saturday to write about (interspersed with my Saturday Snippets - because they're fun to do too).

HOW TO SHINE BRIGHTER AND BE MORE YOU

If you're feeling a little bit lost and wanting to reclaim some of your mojo and a little more positivity - here's my A to Z of ways to shine your light and be all you were meant to be. #inspiration

AN ALTERNATIVE TO LESS

There's been a lot written over the last few years about minimalism and simplicity - and I'm a big fan of both concepts. But, after spending 2018 Rising from the ashes, now there's something in me that's calling for a different approach - something that's saying that it's okay to ask for MORE, that it's possible to be MORE, and that there's so much MORE out there for me to experience and learn. So, this year I feel like I want to open up my life and because of that, I've chosen MORE as my Word for the Year.

MY TOP 5 MIDLIFE QUOTES FOR JANUARY

Each Saturday throughout 2020 I'll be sharing my top 5 Midlife quotes for the week. Funny, inspiring, upbeat, thoughtful - I'll be sharing whatever speaks to my heart. #lifequotes

INTRO

It's a new year and I have a new theme (same but different) for my Saturdays. Last year I was sharing snippets from the internet, this year I'm going to share my top 5 quotes I find each month that apply to Midlife and the journey we're all on together. Today is the first of many more and I hope you enjoy them. I'd love you to Pin them or save them or share them if any speak to your heart.

They say "a picture is worth a thousand words" in my opinion, a quote can speak a thousand words in a sentence or two. So here's my first five....
