THE REASON FOR CHRISTMAS

In between the tinsel, sparkle, food and family - lets remember the reason for Christmas - Jesus birth

We get so caught up in the tinsel and sparkle of Christmas, or we hear so much about the consumerism of Christmas, or we get sidetracked by the Santas in every store, or we think it's all about food and family - but what about the real meaning of Christma? The birth of a Saviour, sent to us by God because He loves us?

For Five Things Friday, I've broken down the most quoted verse in the Bible to give the meaning of Christmas in 5 short points:

1. For God loved the world so much

 1. For God loved the world so much

2. that he gave his only Son,

2. that he gave his only Son,

3. so that everyone who believes in him
3. so that everyone who believes in him

4. may not die
4. may not die

5. but have eternal life.
5. but have eternal life.

JOHN 3:16 ~For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.

As we go through this wonderful time of the year, lets take a moment to remember why we have Christmas - about a baby born in a stable, who became a man who taught love and grace to all mankind, and who went on to die on our behalf. Wishing you all a Blessed Christmas  ðŸ’•ðŸ’•
