IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE

It's time to celebrate the end of January, Christmas is over for another year and life is getting back to normal after the holidays - so, why not share a lovely Summery virtual cup of coffee with me while I update you on what's been going on in my life lately. I love a good 'Taking Stock' blog post, so I hope you'll humour me and sit a while as I share my news.

TIME TO BREATHE MORE AND RELAX

WE NEED TO RELAX AND TAKE A BREATH

We're onto "B" for the second letter in the "List of More" and it's time to figure out ways to de-stress and exhale. Releasing your tight fist grip on life and the need to be in control of everything is the beginning of learning to breathe more and relax.

4 THINGS YOU DESERVE IN LIFE

KNOW WHAT YOU DESERVE AND DON'T SETTLE FOR LESS

I read a quote by Tony Gaskins the other day that said:

Know what you deserve.
Don't settle for less.

MY EXPERIENCE

I’ve mentioned several times over the last couple of years that I struggle sometimes with work drama and coping with a co-worker whose personal life overflows into our work environment. What I came to see over time was the detrimental impact it had on my own mental health and it’s taken a long time to find a workable solution to the situation.

IT'S TIME FOR MORE APPRECIATION & ACCEPTANCE

In choosing my Word of the Year MORE, I mentioned a list of the A to Z of things I'd like to develop more of in my life throughout the year. I'm not planning on participating in the AtoZ Challenge this year, so instead I thought I'd work my way through my "List of More" by choosing a letter every second Saturday to write about (interspersed with my Saturday Snippets - because they're fun to do too).

AN ALTERNATIVE TO LESS

There's been a lot written over the last few years about minimalism and simplicity - and I'm a big fan of both concepts. But, after spending 2018 Rising from the ashes, now there's something in me that's calling for a different approach - something that's saying that it's okay to ask for MORE, that it's possible to be MORE, and that there's so much MORE out there for me to experience and learn. So, this year I feel like I want to open up my life and because of that, I've chosen MORE as my Word for the Year.
