INTRO
Here's the latest little snippets from all over the place that caught my eye and I thought were worth sharing. I hope you enjoy them too - feel free to pin them or share them with other people if they resonate with you. I've turned off the comments on these posts because they're just a fun Saturday post to look at, enjoy and move on - hopefully with a smile on your face or with something to think about.THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
This thought from A Life In Progress has so much truth in it - remembering I am enough is something I've learned over the last few years - and still remind myself of regularly. We don't need to be perfect - we just need to enjoy who we are and the life we're living - and then go out and share it with others.FUNNY
I'm a huge fan of my Fitbit and the fact that it makes me get off my bottom and move more. I wear it day and night and have been known to talk back to it when it's buzzing me to move and I can't be bothered getting up at that particular moment. My daughter-in-law sent me this quote and it gave me a huge chortle (remember those Tamagotchis that our kids were obsessed with? Those weird little electronic animals drove me crazy with all their demands!) Now I seem to have my own personal version :)INTERESTING
Letting go of expectations has been a big learning curve for me. I have struggled with the concept that people don't see life the same way I do, that others have different core values to me, and that people express love differently - but it's still love. I thought I'd share this really interesting blog post on the some of the expectations we need to release.ONE LAST THING
This quote is a re-mash of one I saw that referred to turning 40. I didn't feel a call to home - and becoming my true, authentic self - until I turned 50. This seems to be the case for a lot of Midlifers, so here is what it felt like to turn 50 and come home.If you missed my coffee catchup post last Monday, you can read it HERE. Have a great weekend! xx
