INTRO

I was approached recently by a company who is keen to promote the idea that you don't have to stay in a hotel room to have the perfect getaway. Today's post offers five great reasons why it would be so much better to choose a villa experience - more room to breathe, privacy, peace, and serenity. It all sounds perfect to me.

5 INDISPUTABLE SIGNS THAT IT'S TIME TO WALK AWAY

WHEN IT'S TIME TO WALK AWAY

If you're a grown-up you've been around long enough to know that you don't give up at the first hurdle. You persevere and push through, you adjust, you compromise, you suck it up, you make the efforts required to come to a good resolution.

If you've done all those things and you're still in a situation that is draining the life blood out of you then the time has come to walk away - head held high and with a determination to forge ahead towards something new and better.

I want to share 5 signs that are indicators (red flashing lights) that it's time to leave that job, friendship, relationship, or whatever you might be facing, and start afresh. Each of these signs indicate that something is seriously wrong. If you're experiencing several of them then you know it's time to make some changes.

IT'S TIME TO BE MORE FEARLESS AND FABULOUS

FEARLESS AND FABULOUS - WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE?

We're onto "F" in the "List of More" and I'm looking at ways we can conquer our fears and start living the out the Fabulous Fifties! Being fabulous begins by getting a handle on our fears - if we let fear dictate our lives then we become shadows of ourselves and never really reach our full potential.

3 EXPECTATIONS TO FREE YOURSELF FROM

LETTING GO OF EXPECTATIONS

I read an interesting article a while ago on letting go of expectations. Three that were referred to really caught my eye and I felt that there was more that could be expanded upon for women in Midlife. The three expectations that I feel women in their 50's and onwards need to release immediately are: 1) Things will always go your way, 2) Things will never go your way, and 3) Eventually, you will arrive.

I've been guilty of all three of these and thought I'd have a deeper look into them and why they take hold of us. If you battle with any of them, perhaps there's a few tips you can take away with you for further consideration.

HOW TO FIND JOY THROUGH ENGAGING WITH OTHERS

ARE YOU ENGAGING WITH OTHER PEOPLE?

Becoming More in Midlife and finding joy every day begins with engaging with other people and actively participating in life. It's so easy to sit back and let life pass us by, to tell ourselves that we don't have anything worthwhile to offer, or that we can't be bothered interacting with other people.

If you're anything like me, you might even feel like you're becoming more introverted as you get older and wonder what happened to the outgoing person you used to be. I think it's important to realize that we don't have to be raging extraverts to be able to enjoy engagement - it's about finding the right amount that energizes us without overloading our systems.

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE

It's time to celebrate the end of February, I'm running a little bit late with this post, but there's lots of news to share- so, why not have a fabulous virtual cup of coffee with me while I update you on what's been going on in my life lately. I love a good 'Taking Stock' blog post, so I hope you'll humour me and sit a while as I share my news.
