MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my Cresting the Hill readers.

CHRISTMAS

In a few days it'll be Christmas Day - I'll be sharing time with family and taking a break. I love that this time of the year is when we slow down - and this year I plan to take it a step further with my Unbusy Christmas and in the week leading up to New Year.

We have our kids, their spouses, and our delightful grandgirls coming to visit, so there'll be an abundance of love, food, good cheer, laughter, and so much more. The tree is up, the presents are wrapped and the countdown is on.

Along with most of the Midlife blogging community, I'm taking a break over the Christmas week and not posting anything until the New Year dawns and 2020 is upon us.

NEW YEAR

At this stage I'm planning on taking a week or two off and I'll be back on Monday 6th January to share a virtual coffee and chat about all the joys of Christmas and what we did over December (holidays/Christmas/family and more). I'll also share some more details of my blogging plans for 2020 and my new blogging days.

On the 9th January my new Thursday posts start - I've chosen my Word of the Year for 2020 that sums up how I've been feeling about life and I want to expand on that every Thursday for the rest of the year. I'm hoping that some of you will come onboard and offer to share a guest post on the theme. More on that next year - I'm already excited!

UNTIL THEN

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I hope you get to spend it with the ones you love. 2019 was a year of upheaval, adjustment, re-invention, and renewal for me. As I leave that all behind, I truly believe that 2020 is going to be a magical year full of good times, great blogging, deepening friendships, and even more wonderful opportunities. I hope you'll be here to share it with me and to continue this fabulous Midlife journey together.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! See you back here on January 6th xx

Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. It is happiness because we see joy in people. It is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values.

  1. Hi Leanne, thanks for the update regarding your immediate and future plans. Please count me in for a guest post. I would love to participate. We have had a wonderful December, but the best is yet to come as our daughter arrives on Sunday and all of my time will be focused on our little family until her departure. All the best to you and yours this Christmas and many blessings in the New Year. 2020 is going to be a great year!

So lovely that you get to have your daughter staying with you for Christmas - that's one of the loveliest parts of the season - getting those adult kids back in the family home :)

    1. Hi Tomi - thanks so much for that lovely comment. I feel like I've finally gotten my mojo back after having it slowly drained for the last few years. It's nice to know that others can see that in what I write x
