impossibly easy apple roses

#midlife blog crestingthehill.com.au

I'm not the world's greatest cook (not even the world's not-so-greatest cook!) So desserts aren't usually something I try my hand at very often. I have a couple of go-to recipes that are fairly fail safe and I use them most of the time. But it's Saturday and I thought I'd step out of my comfort zone and try something new and share it if it was successful.

My mum is coming for dinner tonight and I thought I'd use that as the excuse to try this recipe out (she's fairly forgiving and a worse cook than me!) - I saw these apple roses on TipHero and figured the 1.14 minute demo looked doable and the end result looked pretty fantastic.

All in all they took me 15 minutes or so to put together from beginning to end and came out looking pretty much like roses (although they did stick to the muffin pan a little - probably time for a new muffin tray seeing mine is about 15 years old!)

So in the spirit of sharing a good and really easy recipe (something I never do because cooking/craft aren't my strong points) you can go here for the recipe and the youtube demo is here:

    1. thanks Abby - thought it was time to put up a new pic - it just took me a bit of fiddling to work out how to make it a reasonable size instead of a postage stamp!
