DISCOVERING A NEW POET ON PINTEREST
I find Pinterest to be a great place to browse for pretty pictures,
gorgeous couture gowns, quotes, and so much more. Recently I was cruising around my Pinterest feed and stumbled upon a quote that I loved. It was actually a poem and
when I clicked on the link it took me to an Etsy site for Ullie-Kaye - and
to many more lovely poems she'd written....
I contacted Ullie-Kaye and asked if she'd mind if I shared some that I
found really insightful and that spoke to my heart. She graciously told me
she loved my blog and would be happy for me to share them.
So without further ado, here's ten of her poems that resonated with me - with my journey, with my stage of life, and with who I'm hoping I'm becoming. Feel free to share
them or save them, and I'd love to know in the comments if any of them spoke to
your heart too...

Hi, Leanne - These poems are beautifully written, moving and thought-provoking. Thank you for sharing Ullie-Kaye with us.
ReplyDeleteHi Donna - I really resonated with what she wrote in several of them. Some are deeper than others, but there were a few that just struck a deeper chord with me. I'm glad you enjoyed them.
DeleteConsider yourself hugged and kissed for introducing me to Ullie Kaye. Upon reading two of her poems here, I went immediately to Pinterest to find her. Ullie's words feel authentic and from the heart. And written by a woman who is not new to LIFE I have pinned my favorites on my Inner (Piece) Peace Pinterest board. Close, Through and Fires particularly spoke to me. Thank you so very much for sharing Ullie Kaye and her work.
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie - I'm so glad you enjoyed them - I loved 'human' 'live well' and 'ordinary things' because they're very close to the journey I'm on at the time being. I really want to live my life well - time seems to be getting shorter as I settle into this new decade!
DeleteThese are beautiful! Thankful and Ordinary Things really spoke to me the most though they all are so touching.
ReplyDeleteI loved how she appreciates the small moments and has such a deep soul - so many of her sentences reflected something in my own journey.
DeleteLeanne, thank you so much for sharing these wonderful poems by Ullie Kaye. Just what my heart needed this morning. 'ordinary things', 'human', 'fires' and 'known' are the ones who spoke to me the most.' live well' is also very beautiful and appropriate at this time.xo
ReplyDeleteHi Yvonne - I can imagine that you'd find some comfort and solace in what she writes - I certainly did. She reminds me to savour the small things and to give myself grace - something we all need. x
DeleteI really liked these words of wisdom Leanne and can see why they resonated with you. Her words speak to all of us in various stages of our lives. Many thanks for the introduction, just lovely!
ReplyDeleteHi Deb - I stumbled across her and then read more of her poetry and there were so many that spoke to different parts of my journey that I thought I just had to share them.
DeleteHow absolutely beautiful are these? I can really understand how these spoke to you. Thanks for the intro.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo - they were just lovely weren't they? There were so many little references in them to things I'd thought or gone through in my own life - and she just puts them beautifully.
DeleteI've not heard of her but will check out. There's another you might like, Boy under the bridge. He writes some gorgeous thoughts on ageing (tho he is so much younger than me!) It's amazing when the written word connects with you - it's a bridge acrose the universe (either time or space). #WWandP
ReplyDeleteHi Lydia - I just checked out a little of boy under the bridge and his little thoughts are very deep indeed. I agree that it's amazing when you read someone else's words and they resonate with your own life and experiences - I guess that's why I'm drawn to blogging too - the sharing of experiences and thoughts....
DeleteHi Leanne (and Ullie-Kaye), these poems are exquisite! No wonder they spoke to your heart Leanne. They speak to mine too. What a talent Ullie has to put words together so eloquently!
ReplyDeleteHi Min - I just loved how there were these little sentences that just kept going and getting deeper as the poems continue - and as I kept reading I'd be thinking "yes" to so many of them. She's definitely eloquent and she spoke to my own life experiences.
DeleteHi Leanne, these poems are beautiful. I really like the author's still. I love them all but my favourite is Tomorrow
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer - Tomorrow was such a great reminder to leave a legacy wasn't it? Life is short and we need to be investing in ourselves and then overflowing into the lives of others - making a difference where we can.
DeleteWow, "Close" really spoke to me. Thanks for sharing these wonderful poems.
ReplyDeleteHi Janet - each and every one of them said something to my soul. I'm glad you enjoyed them and found one that spoke to you too.
DeleteHi Leanne. Sorry I am just now getting to your blog, but how rewarding it was when I did. These poems by Ullie-Kaye are beautiful! They speak to me in a way that tells me that no mat atter what I've been through, I'm not alone, and I will be ok. Thank you so much for sharing! Christina Daggett xx
ReplyDeleteHi Christina - I felt the same way about what (and how) she wrote. There was so much reassurance and wisdom in her words - and I thought that someone so much younger than me had figured stuff out so well. I might be slower to get there, but I hope I'm gaining her insight and wisdom too.
DeleteI am so loving when something and someone's words resonate with me....and this is such a win for you too. How awesome and generous of the author too. Thank YOU so much for sharing your post for Wednesday’s Words and Pics. I appreciate your presence as part of the community! Denyse.
ReplyDeleteHi Denyse - I sent her a link to my blog and asked if she'd be okay if I shared some of her work and she was so encouraging and kind. It probably was a bonus for her to be shared, but I still always appreciate it when you ask for permission and it's so graciously granted.
DeleteThose poems are lovely, I especially love the first one. Thank you for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteHi Maria - I've really enjoyed seeing which poems appealed the most to different readers - and I'm glad you enjoyed them too.
DeleteIt’s a joy to discover a new poet. I like ullie-kaye’s work.
ReplyDeleteThere was just something about her writing that spoke to me Susan - maybe a like minded approach to the ups and downs of life? But she says it more beautifully.
DeleteThank you Leanne for sharing ullie-kaye's lovely poems with us at #weekendcoffeeshare.
ReplyDeleteHi Natalie - thanks for the coffeeshare catch up and I'm glad you enjoyed the poems.
DeleteWhat beautiful sentiments Ullie Kaye expresses. There are quite a few poems here that touch the soul. Thank you Leanne. Maria
ReplyDeleteI loved these Leanne...I really liked the Ordinary Things.
