INTRO
It's a new year and I have a new theme (same but different) for my Saturdays. Last year I was sharing snippets from the internet, this year I'm going to share my top 5 quotes I find each month that apply to Midlife and the journey we're all on together. Today is the first of many more and I hope you enjoy them. I'd love you to Pin them or save them or share them if any speak to your heart. They say "a picture is worth a thousand words" in my opinion, a quote can speak a thousand words in a sentence or two. So here's my first five....
FOR STARTERS
Goodbye to 2019, but also thank you for the memories, the lessons, and the wisdom you taught me. My life has done a 180° turn and I feel on top of the world as 2020 launches.Brooke Hampton/FB Barefoot Five |
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
This cartoon is such so simple and yet it sums up choosing our attitude and our response to life beautifully. What are you focusing on this week?c/o Zen to Zany Facebook |
THE YEAR THAT WAS AND THE ONE THAT'S AHEAD
I had a fairly bumpy 2019 - starting at my lowest and climbing to a point where I was content, happy, settled and relieved with where my life had taken me. I loved this quote about 2019 and then I found a great one to inspire me in 2020.ONE LAST THING
Juvena, a Roman poet interpreted Sophrosyne as: “Mens sana in corpore sano” meaning “Healthy in mind, healthy in body” = balance. I've realized that I'm becoming a Sophrosyne - I'm making it my goal to tick all of the boxes in the quote below and it definitely results in true happiness and balance - a perfect way to live.
Have a great weekend! xx
