5 BIRTHDAY WISHES

cresting the hill

WHAT ARE 5 THINGS YOU'D WISH FOR?

I asked my husband what he would wish for if he had five birthday wishes. First he had to check that it wasn't a trick question and that he wouldn't be in trouble for not including marital bliss and my every happiness in his wishes - I let him off the hook and here are his wishes: 1. A Lamboghini, 2. A Ducati, 3. An ocean going yacht, 4. A Summer house in Provence (that we'd sail to on the yacht) and 5. A helicopter to get from the yacht to the Summer house. The man has VERY expensive taste in his wishes!

MY FIVE WISHES

When I started thinking about my wishes it was a lot harder to come up with a list than I thought it would be. But, seeing it's my birthday today, here are the five I decided on:

1

She's my 1st wish!
For my children (and grandbaby) to live nearby so I could see them every week. It's never going to happen because they are happily settled in the city, but these are my wishes so I'm allowed to dream!

2
For an unexpected windfall/inheritance - but without anyone I know and love, having to die to provide it. A couple of million should see me through and let me take early retirement (and maybe buy my husband that Ducati for his birthday!)

3
A lovely long European vacation - with a river cruise or two - we could even visit Provence and look at prospective Summer houses. I think I'd include taking the family with us as part of the wish.

4
A sudden desire for, and delight in, exercise in all shapes and forms. To run like a gazelle and enjoy all the endorphins that are supposed to come with it (instead of looking like a drunken giraffe and ending up with a sore hip!)

5
Finding my hither-to undiscovered creative talent and being able to draw, paint, craft, and turn my hand to making amazing products that others would pay money for, or be delighted to receive as a gift.

WHAT WOULD YOU WISH FOR?

I suppose I should have been wishing for world peace, a cure for cancer and food for the starving - but instead I've chosen to go with five fun things. What would you wish for?

Five Things Friday - what would your five birthday wishes be?

    My 5 FUN wishes:
    1. to visit every single country & capital city in the world 😊
    2. to be always panic free - especially when I want to try things like visiting caves or scaling heights! I like the idea of being adventurous...
    3. to be able to drink a few glasses of wine without getting a hangover, putting on weight, slurring my words or damaging my liver. Ditto chocolate.Ditto fining dining. 😊
    4. to be able to strut my stuff in high heels without my feet hurting! 😊
    5. to be able to sing in tune raunchy rock songs like Debbie Harry & co. 😊

  11. These are great! I'd love to WANT to and ENJOY exercise instead of forcing myself because I know it's good for me. I too often wish I plenty of money to just travel and see the world with my family.
