LATE IN LIFE MILLENNIALS

Last week I started a post on why Midlifers are late in life Millennials. We have so much in common with the traits of the Millennial generation - and often we manifest them from a deeper life experience. These attributes aren't something we've been handed on a plate, they've been hard won through living life in all its highs and lows.

WE ALL NEED MORE DOWN TIME

IT'S TIME TO SLOW DOWN A LITTLE

We're onto "D" in the "List of More" and it's all about giving ourselves some down time - not always having to be doing something, not always having a plan in place, not always marching to the beat of a drum - just learning to chill out a little.

FROM PERENNIAL TO MILLENNIAL

A while back I wrote a post about how Midlife is all about being a Perennial. The term originated from a US internet entrepreneur Gina Pell, since then, I've wondered if maybe we're actually just late in life Millennials? Have you ever stopped to think about the characteristics we Midlifers are manifesting? HOW I SPENT 6 WONDERFUL DAYS IN BRISBANE

For those who are followers of my blog's Facebook page (if you're not then I'd love you to pop over and hit the "Like" button to get my updates) you'd know that I've just returned from a fabulous week's visit to Brisbane in Queensland (Australia). We live in Western Australia and I'd never been over to the North East coast before, so we threw caution (and a bit of money) to the wind and booked some tickets and an air bnb and flew on over.

IT'S TIME TO MAKE SPACE FOR CALMNESS AND CONTENTMENT

We're onto "C" in the "List of More" and it's time to figure out ways to be calm and content. A couple of Saturdays ago we talked about learning to breathe more and relax, now we move onto what having a looser grip on life leads to.

3 THINGS TO RELEASE FOR A MORE VIBRANT LIFE

WHAT DO WE NEED TO STOP DOING TO LIVE VIBRANTLY?

When I chose "MORE" for my Word for 2019 I wanted to focus on becoming the best possible version of myself both now, and in the future as I age. It seems fairly pointless to be flourishing at 50 and then sliding down the slippery slope into becoming a boring old woman by the time I'm 70. So, here's a few pitfalls I've noticed older women falling victim too, and ways to avoid them.

If we want to live vibrantly, to be interesting and attractive to others, we need to stop behaving like we're old ladies and start being upbeat and positive in our approach to life. It's time to stop doing three things that have come to define senior citizens.
