SATURDAY SNIPPETS #13

Saturday Snippets - where the best things I've seen on the itnernet come together in one place #Saturday #snippets #midlife

INTRO

Here's the latest little snippets from all over the place that caught my eye and I thought were worth sharing. I hope you enjoy them too - feel free to pin them or share them with other people if they resonate with you. I've turned off the comments on these posts because they're just a fun Saturday post to look at, enjoy and move on - hopefully with a smile on your face or with something to think about.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

I don't know about you, but I seem to have a need to be busy and when I stop and do nothing the guilt creeps in. It's like "how dare I have nothing to do?" Or "shouldn't I be doing something and not just sitting here?" Maybe this time of not working is a lesson for me to enjoy the pause, to reconnect with who I am and what I want from the next stage of life? I really like that idea.

Don't feel guilty for putting something on pause temporarily while you reconnect with yourself. #midlife #change

FUNNY

After being home for several weeks I found that I could tick most of these items on the list. I've even succumbed to Netflix so I'm officially on the way to completing the list!

My hobbies include long scrolls down my phone, talking to my pets...

INTERESTING

Doing Life With Your Adult Children is an article I'd recommend every parent of adult children take five minutes to read. I wish I'd read it 10 years ago - it would have saved me a few hard lessons along the way. We have to trust that our adult children have made good choices with their life partners - their choices may not be what we expect, but they often know better than we do.

An excellent article on how to deal with your adult children and the partners they choose.

ONE LAST THING

I loved this quote - it's a great reminder that there's still so much ahead of us and we should never give up when we're in the process of transition and transformation. The future might be foggy - but there's still so much more to come.

Don't give up on the person you're becoming - a great reminder in times of change #midlife #transition

I'll leave you on that positive note, and I hope you're following along with my AtoZ of the List of More - if you've missed any then here is my latest - I for Investing in what's Important and you can follow the links at the end of that post for more.

Have a great weekend! xx
