SATURDAY SNIPPETS #15

Saturday Snippets - where the best things I've seen on the itnernet come together in one place #Saturday #snippets #midlife #quote

INTRO

Here's the latest little snippets from all over the place that caught my eye and I thought were worth sharing. I hope you enjoy them too - feel free to pin them or share them with other people if they resonate with you. I've turned off the comments on these posts because they're just a fun Saturday post to look at, enjoy and move on - hopefully with a smile on your face or with something to think about.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

Thank you to those of you who have followed me and encouraged me on my journey from leaving my toxic workplace, recovering my mental and emotional mojo, and finally finding some peace and contentment. I saw this quote and thought it summed up what I've learned throughout the process - including growth, becoming and healing - just perfect!

Trust your journey. Learn, grow, evolve, become, heal. #inspirationalquotes

FUNNY

After trying out the hairdressing salon at my local Senior Citizens Centre I was relieved to find that it was so much better than I expected. Mind you - this is what I was worried about and it was nice that it didn't quite pan out that way.

Getting a hair cut at the Senior Citizens Centre - a little bit scary first time!

INTERESTING

At the beginning of May, one of the bloggers who I really admire (Kathy from SMARTliving365) wrote a wonderful post about not accepting your "shitty first draft" after reading about this idea from Brené Brown (I'm such a fan girl of Brené!) I'd love you to have a read and see if you need to do some re-writing of your first draft thoughts - I know I have been!

Don't accept your mind's "shitty first draft" - instead, review and re-write a truer version. #brenebrown

ONE LAST THING

Morgan Harper Nichols is a young woman who often posts encouraging words on Facebook that have been a blessing to me. Recently she posted the picture below and wrote some very thoughtful words about sharing your journey to encourage others - I hope that's what I do in this blog.

I'll leave you on that positive note, and I hope you're following along with my AtoZ of the List of More - if you've missed any then here are my latest ones K for Kindness and L for Love and Laughter and you can follow the links at the end of that post for more.

Have a great weekend! xx
