WHAT DOES MIDLIFE MEAN?
Have you ever thought about what Midlife actually signifies? I've been mulling it over lately and I've come to the conclusion that it's a very important milestone that a lot of us have reached and I'm wondering if we're truly appreciating this age and stage?IS MY MIDLIFE BLOGGING MUSE TAKING A NAP?

WHAT'S HAPPENING TO MY MUSE?
Now that I've decided to go ahead with it, I'm quite relieved that I'm going to tackle the AtoZ Challenge again this year because I'm having one of those moments where my Blogging Muse seems to be taking a nap. Maybe she has a few of those Midlife aches and pains and feels like a little rest would do her good. Whatever her reason, she just isn't running full steam ahead at present and I'm not having to chase her to keep up - instead, I'm sitting around, twiddling my thumbs, and waiting for her to regain her momentum.TACKLING THE A TO Z CHALLENGE IN 2018

THE A TO Z CHALLENGE – 2018
Every year I tell myself I won’t be doing 26 posts in one month – it’s too much to do, it’s too time consuming, it’s too hard to come up with that many new ideas, and the list goes on. But, here I am back again for my THIRD year and keen to jump into the A to Z maelstrom again.
I can’t believe that I’m excited about this, but the Challenge has sucked me in and I’m keen to take up the mantle again, and also to see what other bloggers are writing about – I learn new stuff and I meet new people – what’s not to love?

WHEN A SONG TOUCHES MY HEART
I mentioned in a post I wrote a few weeks ago that a song I was singing in church brought me to tears because it reminded me that the things we value in life can be given and can also be taken away - and it kills my heart when something I hold close is taken from me.NOT TAKING MY HEALTH FOR GRANTED

BEING A HAPPY HEALTHY PERSON
All of my life I've been basically healthy. I've been to hospital three times in total - two to have my babies and once to have my shoulder stabilized, 10 years ago. I've always taken my health for granted and I've done very little to stay in a state of general well-being - other than to make healthy choices most of the time and to get on with living and enjoying life in general. All in all I just cruised along and took my lack of illness (I didn't even get a cold most years) for granted.HOW CAN A MONKEY HELP YOU BEAT STRESS?

COPING WITH DRAMA
Several weeks ago I wrote a post on Detachment that described the concept of stepping back from drama and creating healthy boundaries. I chose to write about it because 2017 had been an extremely stressful year for me - particularly in the area of my work environment. I had reached the point of needing to make some major changes to be able to stay in my job or alternatively, walking away and starting again.WHAT HAPPENED TO MY MIDLIFE FRIENDSHIPS?

FRIENDSHIP QUOTAS
I wrote a post in the earlier days of my blog which asked the question "Do we have a Friendship Quota?" I felt back then that there seemed to be a finite number of friendships that I could manage to maintain and I if one friend was lost, then maybe another would appear to replace them, but the composite total never really seemed to vary. Now, as I progress further into Midlife, I'm wondering if the quota is actually reducing further and what the reasons are for that.

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE
It's time to celebrate the end of February (a day late because February is such a short month!) Why not share another virtual cup of coffee with me while I update you on what's been going on in my life lately. I love a good 'Taking Stock' blog post, so I hope you'll humour me and sit a while with me in a lovely little cafe I love to visit while I share my news.
