SATURDAY SNIPPETS #17

Saturday Snippets #17 - where the best things I've seen on the itnernet come together in one place #Saturday #snippets #midlife

INTRO

Here's the latest little snippets from all over the place that caught my eye and I thought were worth sharing. I hope you enjoy them too - feel free to pin them or share them with other people if they resonate with you. I've turned off the comments on these posts because they're just a fun Saturday post to look at, enjoy and move on - hopefully with a smile on your face or with something to think about.

FOR STARTERS

I loved this little girl and the whole idea of licking the bowl of life - life's short and we need to enjoy the ride don't we?

You only live once - so lick the bowl! #quotes #cute #humour

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

One of the tricky things I had to deal with when leaving work and being at home was the idea of not being productive enough. What I had to come to terms with is that I don't need to prove myself to anyone and I don't have to justify doing less. I'm worthy of rest and I've earned this lovely time of peace and un-busy-ness. This is a beautiful quote from A Life In Progress.

I don't have to prove my worth by being productive #quotes

FUNNY

This ad for Nicola Finetti just made me snort laugh for some reason. It's dark and different to my usual humour (and my husband would probably raise an eyebrow) but it did make me stop and smile.

If that was a little too dark for you, then here's something that made the introvert in me smile.

when I say "we'll see" there's a 100% chance that it's not happening. #funnyquotes

INTERESTING

I don't write a lot about my Christian faith on the blog, but I wanted to share a great podcast series that I've been learning a lot from over the last few months. It's an offshoot of The Bible Project and covers so many interesting bible topics and sermons from Tim Mackie, one of the founders of The Bible Project and Door of Hope church in Portland.

The podcast is called Exploring My Strange Bible and if you're looking for some interesting teaching and a deeper understanding of the bible you might find it interesting.

ONE LAST THING

Brooke Hampton has a lot to say about keeping life simple and being true to ourselves. I love her "wild woman" personality and the truths she shares. Here's one I saw recently really resonated with me and the time of life I'm in at the moment.

I'm going to take care of myself and learn to say No. Brooke Hampton #inspirationalquotes

I'll leave you on that positive note, and I hope you're following along with my AtoZ of the List of More - if you've missed any then here is my latest one N for Reclaiming a Normal and Non-Toxic Life and you can follow the links at the end of the post for more.

Have a great weekend! xx
