WHY MIDLIFE'S FABULOUS - ZEST FOR LIFE

The A-Z Challenge ~ Why Midlife's Fabulous ~ Zest for Life

LOOK WITHIN

Living with Zest isn't about finding a "thing", but rather it's about finding yourself. It's about discovering who you truly are and igniting something within you that wants to know more and discover more. It's about being the real you and not the person who is trying to please everybody else.

No matter how much money you have, or how many toys you own, if you haven't looked inside yourself and found out what really makes you tick, then you're going to have trouble finding that kernel of zest you need to thrive. When you know what makes your heart beat faster and who the honest and authentic "you" is then you find so many things that engage you and bring out a zeal for living.

WHEN YOU DISCOVER "YOU"

How can you not have a zest for life once you discover the person you are meant to be? How can you not want to engage with other people and bounce ideas off each other and get absorbed in what life has to offer? How can you not want to find out more? How can you settle for one aspect of life to be passionate about when there is so much more to what makes up the person you are becoming?

WHO YOU'RE BECOMING

Lets find out what engages our soul, who we are, and what our hearts hold dear. Lets strive for becoming the best person we are capable of being and then sharing that with others. Lets make genuine connections and be open to others. Lets find out who we are and become passionate advocates for others who are doing the same thing. It's not about what you have, it's about who you are becoming - that's when you truly experience a zest for life!

When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.

  3. Wonderful post to wrap up this A-Z challenge! Go for the Zest!

I found out that in order to find out who I am I need to be alone. Actually I felt a bit deserted (alright, I got dumped) but it ended up being a gift. I learned that I don't need anybody to make me happy but myself.

Thanks for your farewell video, I just LOVE your Aussie accent, mate! Hope to keep in touch!

  4. I've spent a great deal of time reading positive life-affirming posts such as yours during this challenge, Leanne, and I have to say that they have inspired a huge amount of guilt and uncertainty in me. maybe that's step 1 to being my best self. Or maybe this is just as good as I get.
Thank you so much for having visited me on The Rock during the April challenge. All you serious more-professional-type bloggers are so much more focussed and driven than I. So thank you.

  7. So, I'm going to be humming Lust for Life for the rest of the day - letter of the day notwithstanding. I have really enjoyed the overall theme of being happy with yourself and working to find your happiness that has come through all your posts. Not always working to please others - yes please! - It's a great place to be. Congrats on completing the challenge. - Louise

  8. Thank you for the wonderful posts. I didn't get to read all of them but now that A to Z is over perhaps I will have some time. I enjoyed seeing (and hearing) your video; perhaps I can post a video and you, in turn, can get to hear my wonderful New York City accent. Hey, why not for the retrospective post that should be upcoming sometime in May? (I promise I won't sing.) Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
